Hello there.
I'm a 30-something gal with an obsession for books, a love of food despite being extremely picky, a comforting candle collection, a budding interest in crafts, and the unfortunate ability to over-think and worry about everything.
You may wonder why I went on a diet(the original blog theme)? Why I choose to start a blog? What makes me and my blog interesting enough for you to take time out of your day to read it? And lastly, why am I so special?
I have been on many diets in my life. Some have worked while on them, but most have not. I decided to try the one diet I had success with twice previously. Weight Watchers. The thing I love most about this diet is that it is not a diet. I can eat a slice of pizza if I'm craving it. This is a lifestyle change. Weight Watchers is more of an education course than a diet.
I hate exercising. Well, I shouldn't say I hate all forms of activity. I enjoy bike riding. It is calm and peaceful. It gives me time to think. My favorite activities are more sedentary like knitting, book reading and puzzles (not the jigsaw kind, but the brain teaser kind). I'd much rather exercise my mind than my body.
I'm a mom. It is the most important and most fulfilling aspect of my life. My daughter is my joy. I truly believe I was born to be a mom, her mom. That being said, I learned I was out of shape pretty quickly. My daughter weighs over thirty pounds. Carrying her up and down stairs left me winded. Running around after her leaves me tired. I needed to lose weight so my activities with my daughter never get limited.
I don't know if this blog will be interesting for everyone. However, I know a lot of women are in the same position that I'm in. I'll pass my recommendations and findings onto you. Treat my blog posts like conversations with a girlfriend.
And to answer that last question, I'm not "special" aka some famous expert. I am just like you. This is why I have started this blog. If I can encourage one other person to stop and smell the candles, change their diet, start a craft, read a book, or just take a little time out for themselves then I'll be one happy momma!
