On the Go POINTers

I do not keep it a secret that I love to go out to eat. I'm not much of a cook. And you know what? I'm ok with that on most days.

Anyway, I thought a list of POINTS for restaurants I've reviewed, researched or just plain loved would be helpful for other Weight Watchers followers.

This blog is not endorsed by Weight Watchers. Many of these POINTS were calculated by myself and other dieters from information given to us by the restaurants.

APPLEBEE'S*

Chicken Wonton Tacos(entire appetizer) = 13 POINTS
Chicken Tortilla Soup = 4 POINTS
Paradise Chicken Salad = 6 POINTS
Grilled Shrimp and Island Rice = 8 POINTS
Garlic Herb Chicken = 7 POINTS

*Known for being Weight Watchers friendly, there are a handful of WW-endorsed meals on the menu.

CARRABA'S

Spaghetti Marinara = 5 POINTS
House Salad = 1 POINT
Minestrone Soup = 4 POINTS

BAHAMA BREEZE

Cuban Black Bean Soup = 7 POINTS
Breeze Salad (No dressing) = 2 POINTS
Tropical Vinegarette Dressing = 2 POINTS
Three Homemade Croutons = 3 POINTS*

*The Homemade Croutons come on top of the Breeze Salad. I do not eat them with the salad, instead I dip them in the Cuban Black Bean Soup. Delicious!

BONEFISH GRILL

Two Jump Lump Crab Cakes = 10 POINTS
Steamed Veggies = 2 POINTS (x2 since I doubled up on this side)
Cocktail Sauce = 1 POINT

CHEEBURGER, CHEEBURGER

Diet Vanilla Cola = 3 POINTS
Onion Rings (Small) = 3 POINTS
Veggie Burger with Salsa and American Cheese (No Bun) = 7 POINTS

CHICK-FIL-A*

Original Chicken Sandwich = 9 POINTS
Grilled Chicken Sandwich = 5 POINTS
Chicken Nuggets (8 count) = 6 POINTS
Waffle Fries (Small) = 6 POINTS
Chargrilled Chicken Salad= 3 POINTS
Chargrilled Chicken and Fruit Salad = 4 POINTS
Southwest Chargrilled Chicken Salad= 5 POINTS
Garlic Butter Croutons (salad topping) = 1 POINT
Harvest Nut Granola (salad topping) = 1 POINTS
Tortilla Strips (salad topping) = 2 POINTS
Honey Roasted Sunflower Seeds (salad topping) = 2 POINTS
Light Italian Salad Dressing = 0 POINTS**
Fat Free Honey Mustard Dressing = 1 POINT**
Reduced Fat Berry Balsamic Dressing = 2 POINTS**
Barbeque Sauce Packet = 1 POINT
Honey Mustard Packet = 1 POINT
Yogurt Parfait with Strawberries (Oreo Topping) = 4 POINTS

*In the beginning of my diet, I was addicted to Chick-fil-a. Each of their salads is filling AND delicious. The Yogurt makes a yummy dessert. And the waffle fries are a great splurge!
**This is the POINTS value PER SERVING, there are usually two servings per Salad Dressing packet. Reminder, this bumps the 0 POINT value of the Italian Dressing up to 1 POINT.

OLIVE GARDEN

Linguine Alla Marinara = 8 POINTS
Garden-Fresh Salad (No Dressing) = 2 POINTS*
Italian Cream Soda = 4 POINTS**

*Though it is not on the menu, Olive Garden does offer a low fat version of their Italian Dressing. Request it on the side.
**Sharing the Italian Cream Soda with your kid makes for a great treat for them and 2 less POINTS for you!

ON THE BORDER*

House Salad (No dressing) = 3 POINTS
Crispy Chicken Taco = 5 POINTS
Mexican Rice = 5 POINTS
Black Beans = 3 POINTS

*To cut down on POINTS, I brought along carrots to dip in the salsa as opposed to the yummy yet fatty complimentary tortilla chips. I only ate half of the Mexican Rice (2.5 POINTS)and Black Beans (1.5 POINTS). Skip the Sour Cream and Guacamole add-ons to your taco. The taco is good enough without them!
